Movement is Medicine.
When was the last time you moved your body like a kid? As we get older, the body gets used to the movements we give it – hovering over a computer, sitting on the couch – and lets go of the movements we don’t give it – arms overhead, twists, joint rotations. So we get tight and further avoid those movements. Then we blame it on age. Join me for movement classes (yoga, strength training, balance, Essentrics™) where we get to feed the body with these forgotten movements!
Yoga

Taught in Iyengar, I’m a stickler for proper alignment. But I also add dynamic stretching and emphasize mind/body awareness. Yoga with me is more like a workshop that details how exactly to use the body to obtain the stability in poses.
